Nebraska has consistently held that the multi-state process has worked well in the past and will effectively serve the interests of both Nebraska, its political subdivisions, and each participating state in this matter.  Thus far, Attorneys General of 28 additional states and U.S Territories have continued to demonstrate that our strength in the fight against opioids is found in our unity.  Through our collective efforts, we have achieved a breakthrough in the form of a likely settlement with Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family. We will continue to work collaboratively with both our fellow Attorneys General and the Plaintiffs Executive Committee to serve the best interests of our states and territories as the bankruptcy process unfolds in the Southern District of New York.
